Updates August 2019

Been a hot minute since I wrote an update SO Laundry List of Things since My Last Post:

-Joined the cast of the visionary Nehprii Amenii’s play Food For The Gods at La Mama Experimental Theater Club last fall, as part of their puppet series. Nehprii was gracious enough to teach me how to operate her gorgeous puppets, and I am very lucky.

-Premiered a New Work, ICARUS, that I conceived with the incredible Hunter Gause, who directed. We devised the piece with the company at Dixon Place this Spring. The cast included a number of my favorite actors: Jeffrey Brabant, Isaac Lopez, Lizzie Kehoe, and Tristain Land.

-Booked a nice little dayplayer co-star role on Amazon’s upcoming The Hunt, featuring Al Pacino! For reasons that will become obvious when it premiers, they shaved my head – I am currently growing my hair back. We’re at a mid length burr cut sich rn – it looks sick.

-Did four Voice Over Sessions with New York Audio, doing ESL recordings for an educational program.

-Premiered a new work by one of my actual real life favorite playwrights, Sarah Kommer! – Dreamboat at Dixon Place, directed by the batshit brilliant James Wyrwicz.

-And Finally, I’m currently working on a production of Frankenstein, directed by  my dear collaborator: the indescribably talented, off-the-wall intelligent Sarah Cook. An outreach production coordinated by Tommy Demonkoff and Reilly Hilbert, we’ve been bringing it to Manhattan Detention Center all summer in workshop form, where the detainees have been collaborating with us on it. A pubic presentation will occur September 10th at The Tank, before we bring it back to MDC in the fall. This is my third jail tour under Tommy and Reilly & and I am so so thankful to be doing this work with them.

Also this fall check out the short film Nopal Road, directed by the generous, brilliant Katherine Lombardi!! It’s a nasty piece of short form horror pulp and I play a nasty green haired punk, we shot it in the middle of the desert and it is really such a joy
